Case Study – Internal Franchise Meeting


Internal franchise meeting for 85 people for a leading Pharmaceutical company. The event was held in Chantilly, France.


The brief was to organise an internal franchise meeting, the client wanted:

  • to recognise the achievements of the team over the past year
  • to allow delegates to share learnings for the future
  • to allow delegates the opportunity for interaction and collaboration

In addition there was a requirement to organise an engaging, group activity to encourage team work and networking.

The venue needed to be within 30 minutes from a large international airport as attendees were travelling from across the globe.

Our Role: 

C2events managed the event from brief to execution, starting with a venue source across key European cities and a site inspection. Upon confirmation, team building activities in the local area were reviewed in order to ensure the event’s objectives were met.

In addition to pre event management; including the invitation process, delegate communication, venue management, supplier contracting, shipping and arrangement of meeting materials and finance management, C2events also provided onsite support.

C2events onsite role included ground transportation, welcome desk and hostess assistance, delegate support materials, providing award ceremony gifts and supporting the team building activity – creating typical French cuisine in an authentic French restaurant with Chef Gregory Maillard.

C2events had a challenging start when arriving in Paris, being caught in an unusual late winter European snowstorm. Up to 20 inches of snow fell in parts of the region overnight, prompting France’s meteorological service to issue its highest-level weather warning for the first time ever due to snow and ice. After failed attempts to reach the venue, ultimately pre arrival work had to be completed at an airport hotel overnight!

Following crisis calls with the local ground support team, alternative routes to the venue were provided, avoiding motorways, allowing all delegates to arrive in time to the meeting with very little disruption. 


The meeting was very successful and the meeting objectives were met. There was lots of interaction and informative and positive feedback.

The meeting space worked well, with lots of natural daylight ideal for poster reviews and presentations.

The team building activity encouraged extensive collaboration and networking. Sitting down together to taste the team’s hard work was especially enjoyable.
