 Case study – Internal Global Meeting

Project:

Internal pre-launch planning meeting for 100 people for a global client, the event took place in Madrid. The event was held over 3 days and included a celebration dinner held at the Casino de Madrid and a group dinner incorporating buffet stations based on food inspired by the different countries in attendance.

Brief/objectives:

  • The brief was for a pre-launch meeting to convey key information prior to a forthcoming product launch
  • To facilitate networking and team working amongst an international team
  • To motivate and engage the team prior to the launch

Our Role:

C2events were asked to plan the logistics of the meeting, including an extensive venue source and site inspection to ensure an exciting and inspiring venue was selected for the celebration dinner.

We were asked to provide solutions to bring the team members from around the world together, which was why the internationally themed dinner was suggested to achieve this.

C2events also provided onsite support, management of breakout groups as well as a series of ad-hoc onsite meetings.

Outcome/results:

The meeting was very well received, iPads were used to engage the audience during presentations and provide opportunities to interact with the speakers.

The venue for the celebration dinner was perfect for the occasion. The evening started with canapés and a welcome drink in the Main Hall, followed by a dinner in one of the Casino de Madrid’s dining rooms.

The international themed dinner was an informal outdoor occasion which provided colleagues with an opportunity to relax and interact whilst sampling food from around the world. This acted as a talking point and icebreaker for colleagues who may not have met before.

The meeting was both informative and motivational, with a fun celebratory feel and feedback was very positive.
